On Saturday April 8th, we were invited to the Interhouse Athletics Championship of Latriya Lower Basic School.
This week, the construction work of the solar drying site has been completed. At the Tiloo centre we now have a designated area for solar drying. Next steps will be to build more solar tunnel dryers, and also indirect solar dryers and a table for preparing the foods.
We like to thank all the women of the women program for crafting nice flowers out of plastic bottles. These flowers will be a nice decoration for our Tiloo solar center in the Gambia.
Last week we handed out to each woman attending the womens' program a lemon, mandarins, orange, or grapefruit tree seedling as a give away. The tree seedlings are a symbol for the preserving of nature.
On Sunday, 12 February, 15 new tables and benches were delivered for our classroom. They are made by a local carpenter. The 25 women who will join the women training on Tuesday can now participate the program in true classroom. Further decorations are planned to be done by next week, e.g.
