Even as a non-profit and tax-exempt organisation we still need to cover our costs.
Solar cookers and tunnel driers should remain affordable to people in Gambia. In addition, we value fair work conditions for our employees in Gambia. As such, we are dependent on financial support from others.

Introduction Solar Drying for Peace Corps Volunteers in The Gambia

Tiloo gave an introduction to solar drying techniques during the US American Peace Corps volunteers’ training in the village Masembe on the 30th of March. In a half-day session the volunteers learned about the fundamentals of solar drying and implemented the steps for drying vegetables and herbs in a tunnel dryer. The 39 volunteers support rural communities in The Gambia in the fields of agriculture and health. The volunteers can use the gained knowledge for promoting techniques of improved food and nutrient preservation in their respective communities.

Der Stapel donates 10. CHF to Tiloo for each book-stack sold.
