This week, the construction work of the solar drying site has been completed. At the Tiloo centre we now have a designated area for solar drying. Next steps will be to build more solar tunnel dryers, and also indirect solar dryers and a table for preparing the foods. Our goal is to open the drying site to all interested people for drying their food here at Solar Association Tiloo and also to teach how to dry foods in the solar driers.
Our solar baking and cooking manager, Lisa, attended a training this week on producing baby food. In the sun and children rich Gambia, solar baby porridge offers great market potential. Our goal is to offer the baby food at reasonable prices to the local people. Besides this, we also show the women more possibilities for generating income with solar cookers. To announce the new offer we will hand out the produced packages as Tiloo give aways to women with babies on our opening ceremony on April 29th, 2017.
